Yo, just some news and stuff.


UNIVERSITY IS NIGH! I'll be travelling in a few days to Bs. As. to enter animation school and make the exam. I've been told it's nothing difficult; just a creativity exam or shit like that :'D Should be nice. If I pass this one I'll have to do a second one in February = grrreat, said Tony the Tiger.

And talking about university... I'm trying not to fail at some school subjects, with the consequence of my feeling totally stressed. Srsly, if I hadn't made some time for myself to draw and paint I would've gone NUTS. Even more, haha.
Also, I'm getting faster at PS. Simplifying shading for comics and gags makes things easier, though. And btw, you guys... That really hasn't changed my style xD I mean, I still draw the same way, ya know. And I recall somebody saying my last comic was the best stuff I'd drawn; made me think. Made me think that you're actually ignoring the rest of my gallery

I wanted to say a couple of words bout that; some of you might've noticed I don't do that much fanart anymore. Well, the reason I draw fanart is just to express a personal view/idea on certain books/movies/etc. Like, my HP comics. I barely have fanart that actually depicts a canon scene; most of it it's invented stuff to entertain myself (because I lol pretty easily xD). And it will last until I have nothing left to say. To be honest, my reserve of comics is starting to get empty, and soon, when all I've written has been drawn, the only fanart you'll see is stuff that ocurred to me spontaneously and drew right away.

Atm, I'm much more interested in improvement, and to get even more personal about my art, without the restriction of copyrighted characters. Actually, without the restriction of characters at all; after all, most of the people I draw are totally nameless. I don't feel the need to create a character, for now (unless the idea I want to express requires its creation.)

And now, to finish, I found this interview to Andreas Deja, which certainly has a message of hope for me and everybody that wants to be a 2D animator: [link]
I'll quote from it this, which to me is the most important thing from the interview: "A lot of students tell me that -- while they love traditional animation and really want to learn that craft -- they still feel that they have to study CG because that's where the jobs are right now," Deja explained. "That -- to me -- is a decision that's being made out of fear. Which isn't how an artist should operate. Instead of giving in to fear you should always follow your gut."

Jeez, he talks about fear and following your gut. Tell me!
